Review: Bean Boots

[All photo's taken by Mary Beth Osborn]

I decided to take on this week's GBE topic over here on this blog, so you guys can see the pictures nice and big! So let's get on with my review.

Some of you may know, but I like the outdoors, and am outside everyday in some fashion or another. I also dog walk in rain, snow, and freezing conditions. I'm someone who loves quality over quantity. I'd rather wait and save my money for a good brand and quality product, than buy something that will break in a few weeks. I needed new winter boots, my last ones wore holes in my socks and I wore through them very quickly. And so this year I asked for these for christmas - lady's and gentleman...

-Meet the Bean Boot-

L.L.Bean is one of my favorite brands because of their long-lasting quality and great products. I have worn these boots everyday since I got them and I love them! I wore them snowshoeing, dog walking, to school, through puddles, snow, you name it and my feet have been warm and dry. Not to mention cute! I love the way they look on, and that woodsy, outdoorsy feel they have which is very much my style. Just today I got complimented on them!

I also love that they're made out of waterproof leather, they have great tread so you're less likely to slip in the snow, the shearling inside is super soft, and they're made right in Maine!

The exact boots that I own and are shown in my pictures are the:

I pair them with a nice thick sock and I'm ready for anything! I've only had them for a little over a month, and they look like new (If you're not looking at the dirt I've got on them). After having these I love them so much that I want to purchase 8" unlined boots so that I can have Bean Boots to wear when the weather gets warmer!

If you're looking for a waterproof, comfortable, and warm boot this one is fantastic.

  1. Those are what I call functional AND stylish! I love them. Warmth is wonderful, but warmth with style is where I am. I also love that they are made in the US.
Probably gonna sell a couple of pairs with this endorsement.

  2. Yes! Functional and stylish is wear you'll find me :) I've become an L.L.Bean lover, everything that company makes is great and they have the nicest people working for them! Someday I want to go to their outlet in Maine :)

  4. I love my Bean boots, too! I have an additional problem--I wear a size 7 1/2 D. Yes, I have square feet. Few women's shoes come in D width, and few men's shoes come in smaller sizes than 7, which is about a 9 in a women's shoe. So imagine my delight when I found a Bean boot in my size! And they're comfy.

I also love their LL Jeans. The denim is the soft, thick fabric I remember from my childhood, and again, it's a matter of fit. I have a 27" inseam, and I don't like to hem. And I'm also no longer slim : - ), so fit isn't a small matter (no pun intended). Relaxed petites in a size I won't reveal are PERFECT.

I, too, would like to visit their outlet. I have a cousin up there I haven't seen in years. Time for a visit.

    1. Yes! I have a wide foot also and so I was so happy they came in wide :) I haven't tried their jeans, but I know my mom likes them. That would be awesome if you go to the outlet! If you do take pictures and right a post on it and tell me cause I'd LOVE to see that :D

  8. Okay--I definitely want a pair of these! I've been scouring the internet for just the right boot. I'll have to check LL Bean because I have a weird shoe size--and most likely they don't carry it--but I'll find out here in a jiffy :)

    Great review!! Cheers, Jenn

  9. Anyone who knows me knows I don't 'do' fashion, so I was sort of dreading coming here and finding some faddy thing I didn't really understand and would never want. Instead I found a pair of boots I am extremely jealous of! They are fab and your review was spot on.

  13. You're so lucky to have these lovely boots. As of now, I have to wait until March 2016 to get a pair. Sadface. Do they keep your feet warm, and is the traction good on ice?
